Getting Started

You will receive your login (email address) and URL for the ActiveNav Cloud dashboard in your welcome email.

NOTE: On the first login, you will need to reset your password using the “reset password link”. Once your password is reset login to your ActiveNav Cloud tenant.

1. Click the Forgot your password? link.

2. Enter your email address in the box provided.

3. Click the Send verification code button.

4. You will now receive a verification email that will look similar to this:

5. Enter the verification code from your email into the box provided.

6. Click the Verify code button.

7. Once your code has been verified, you will see "E-mail address verified. You can now continue." Click the Continue button.

8. You are now required to download and install an MFA (Multi-Factor Authorisation) app on your mobile device, e.g., Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, Google Authenticator, Duo, etc., if you don't already have one.

9. Open the MFA app and scan the QR code presented on the screen; the account should appear in the MFA app.

10. Click the Continue button. 

11. Enter your TOTP (Time-based one-time password) verification code found in the MFA application. This is an example using the DUO MFA application:

12. Enter and Confirm your password in the boxes provided.

13. Click the Continue button (this will log you into ActiveNav Cloud for the first time).

Once logged in, you will be presented with the Home page, where you will find a dashboard view of your stats; this is the primary visualization of all the unstructured data currently under management by the tool.

For this guide, the dashboard view is prepopulated with some demo data to help support your experience navigating.

1. Volume Under Management - This refers to the amount of data processed by ActiveNav Cloud, displaying the total number of objects and the size of the data.

2. Data Summary - A combination of data visualization using charts and lists of the lowest scoring data Hotspots (Business Units, Geographic, and Hosts).

3. Collector Status - This shows all the collectors and whether they are online or offline.

4. Data Sources - Lists the Data Sources. Data Sources manage the interaction between ActiveNav Cloud and any given repository.
