ActiveNav Cloud is a data discovery service that discovers, classifies and scores unstructured data across a broad range of on-premises and cloud repositories to enable organizations to confidently manage their data, mitigate risk, and support compliance.
Its unique visualization and data scoring algorithms will enable your organization to identify and mitigate sensitive data hotspots, ROT (redundant, obsolete, trivial) data, aging and stale data, and out of retention records. ActiveNav Cloud builds and maintains an always-on inventory and presents everything in highly useable role-based dashboards to drive defensible data disposition as part of any governance or compliance program.
How it Works
ActiveNav Cloud supports a wide range of data repositories from familiar applications such as Windows File Share and Microsoft 365 to common cloud-based document management solutions such as iManage, NetDocuments and ShareFile.
Unstructured data is discovered, classified, and scored using tailored on-premises collectors for locally managed repositories and dedicated cloud-based collectors for virtual data environments.
Discovered data can be categorized into Business Units, which are logical, virtual groupings of data allowing you to segment your data management efforts by department, team, or other organizational structures.
ActiveNav Cloud's algorithm accurately identifies high-risk data using an extensive suite of business rules designed to comprehensively test your data inventory. Should our wide-ranging ruleset not meet your specific requirements, scope categories and business rules can be configured to suit your information governance model.
Once the system has analyzed your data, you can use the query builder to narrow the scope to create a review focusing on the business units and data types that are relevant to your use case. These scoped reviews are a collaborative means of reviewing identified suspect data, allowing you and your team to make informed decisions for any necessary remedial action.
