Adding Basic Credentials

Overview

Credentials can be added here to be used by your Data Sources when they connect to your repositories. ActiveNav Cloud securely stores your credentials to make seamless connection when running your Discoveries.

NOTE: Should your credentials change for your Host, you can update them from here.

Basic Credentials are used for on premise Windows File Share repositories. The user account requires READ permissions on the the target Data Sources.

Once you have created your Credentials, they can be added to a Host, which will allow your Data Sources to inherit these credentials directly, eliminating the need to assign them separately.

Alternatively, you can assign the Credentials directly to a Data Source on a needs basis.
