      How to Upgrade a Collector

      Upgrading a File Share Collector

      File Share Collectors are routinely improved and thus require upgrading occasionally.

      You can identify the requirement to upgrade by visiting the Collectors page of ActiveNav Cloud and looking for the Version information.  A yellow icon with an up arrow 1024px-Eo_circle_yellow_arrow-up.svg indicates that it is time to upgrade.

      1. Click the Download button in the top right of the page to obtain the latest version of the File Share Collector.

      img12. With this installer file downloaded, copy it over to the host machine for that File Share Collector and run the upgrade file.

      3. You will see an upgrade wizard which will walk you through the upgrade process. You must be permitted to install applications on the host machine to perform the upgrade.

      4. Click Next.

      5. Click Update.
